Associate membership is open to those who are not professional writers, but work in fields such as medicine and are established health writers, authors or broadcast journalists.

Industry members are those working in the health area who support the aims of the Guild, but do not fulfil the writing criteria necessary for membership. For instance PRs, healthcare professionals and charities.
